Church of the Epiphany is excited to launch a new Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) group this fall! Please join us for the 2017-2018 inaugural year!
WHAT IS MOPS?
The MOPS International Mission Statement (www.mops.org) is to encourage and equip moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders, in relationship with Jesus, and in partnership with the local church. The vision of MOPS is that supporting one another makes us better moms who create a better world.
Elements of the MOPS Experience
We want every woman who steps through the door at MOPS to feel at home. That’s why we think food, coffee and hugs are always a good idea. Atmosphere and words make all the difference in providing a safe space where every mom feels more like herself when she enters.
Welcoming to all women.
We’ve all been placed in this time and space in history as a tribe of women who are raising the world together. And the beauty of it is that we don’t all have to agree with one another, but everyone is in and we all need each other. Every mom is embraced at MOPS.
Moms have the ability to do big things. MOPS wants to help every woman gain the confidence to use their voice to change the world. That’s why we challenge women to lead.
Inspiring toward a faith journey.
MOPS strives to talk about faith in a way that inspires every woman toward Jesus. We hope that every mom experiences who God created her to be and finds her purpose.
Sometimes we need a wise woman who has been there, done that, to bounce ideas off of. That’s why we love MOPS Mentors. They provide sage advice and willing ears.
WHAT HAPPENS AT A MEETING?
Hot brunch and coffee are shared along while listening to guest speakers and engaging in discussion time. Topics could include marriage, friendship, and parenting. Some meetings may consist of a fun craft or a service project. Still on the fence about joining? Ask to trial a meeting for free!
WHY IS MOPS IMPORTANT?
Being a mom is both beautiful and difficult. It can be lonely yet overstimulating. MOPS provides a space to breathe, recharge, and connect with other women for support and overall friendship.
WHAT ARE THE MEETING DATES AND TIMES?

WHO DO I CONTACT TO GET INVOLVED?
Please contact Rachel Meneghini at email@example.com for registration information and/or leadership opportunities; we are looking for several co-leaders to help with organizing around hospitality, finance, publicity, and coordinating childcare volunteers.
CAN I VOLUNTEER?
We are also looking for volunteers to support our MOPS moms!
Please contact Heidi Hathaway at firstname.lastname@example.org or 763-533-5382 if you’re interested in providing childcare two Saturdays/month. This would mean supervising and playing with kids, doing a small craft, and serving snack. Or sign up to be a substitute volunteer or just to walk fussy babies in strollers.
**Moms will be asked to volunteer in the childcare rooms 1-2 times per year.**
